The Peninsula of Art and Architecture is imagined as a place where architecture and art coexist with the pristine nature of the exclusive Cycladic island of Antiparos.
This retreat for art aficionados - art lovers, sponsors and collectors – from all corners of the world will be created in the form of five high-end properties coexisting on an area of 250 thousand square meters.
Architects
Outstanding Greek architects create unique properties that pay tribute to the exceptional site.
Nicos Valsamakis, the world-renowned founder of modern Greek minimalism, designed two of the properties in dialogue with their surrounding nature.
Alexandros Vaitsos, Carlos Loperena and the deca team conceived non-intrusive subterranean structures perfectly embedded into the uniquely rugged Cycladic landscape.
Argyro Pouliovali, created a composition of white cubistic buildings adorning the sea shore and striking a balance between human intervention and preservation.
Artists
In the summer season, the Peninsula will offer guests the opportunity to spend a uniquely rewarding time in dialogue with architecture and art, inspired by the sheer beauty of the Cycladic island world, by an ever-changing symphony of lights, colours and moods of the Aegean Sea.
The compositional clarity of Panagiotis Tetsis’ work with its expansive brushstrokes and colour fullness offer a strong sense of mental euphoria.
Kostas Tsocli’s work carries hints of conceptual art and nouveau realisme, with a dynamic relationship between form and space.
Katerina Kaloudis’ new body of work gave her both the fortitude and the means to recognise her deep connection with her past while liberating herself from it.
SONG, created in Naxian marble by Alexander Reichardt, an accomplished artist who gets the inspiration for his work from his love of the Aegean Sea.
Dialogues
During the off-season the Peninsula becomes a space for members of the academic and artistic world community to hold seminars, exchange ideas, experiment with art, or simply immerse in nature’s beauty.
